Blend 1 and ½ cup of the flour, salt and sugar together
Blend in the butter cubes until it starts forming a dough/paste
Add the remaining flour and add the water
The dough should be sticking together and if it is not, then add additional water
Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit
Once the dough is ready, cut it into two half’s and wrap in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least an hour
Once it has been chilled for an hour, use a rolling pin to roll it out in order to fit in the pie dish for the bottom layer
Fill the pie dish with the Mediterranean Organic Black Cherry Preserves
Roll out the top pie crust and place on top of the preserves and fold the edges of top crust underneath the edges of the bottom crust. Seal the edges by using your fingers to create a crimp edge on the pie crust
Use egg yolk and cream to create an egg wash to brush over the top of the pie crust
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes until the crust is golden brown
